Planning: Equipment planning
Trying to keep my music video to the highest possible standard i will be trying to ensure all of the equipment i use is too the highest standard i will be able to get. Below is some examples of the equipment being used and the equipment i intend to use.
The Camera
Shoulder Cam
Another type of equipment that has recently come into
access for me is a shoulder cam. A shoulder cam is a piece of equipment in
which a camera can connect to and the equipment rests on your shoulder with two
handles. From using the shoulder cam and switching from hand held this enables
a much more steady shot and makes the shot look a lot more professional. I will
mainly concentrate on using the should cam in shots in which I am not mobile
and the most movement I have is panning, The reason why is because even the
though the shoulder cam is better at getting a smoother shot when moving it
slightly still pics up footsteps making the shot look less professional. To the right
is a picture of a shoulder cam.
SteadicamA steadicam is a piece of equipment in which i also have access too. This piece of equipment removes the operators movement and it allows for a smooth shot, even when moving quickly over an uneven surface. The times in my music video i will be using the steady can is for the majority of shots, this will include shots like tracking and even my still shots just to make sure that there is no unwanted movement. This piece of equipment I think will be very vital in the making of my music video if I wish to produce a high quality piece of work.
